The Law Offices of Jeffrey A. Botelho, P.A. is a small law firm in Hollywood, Florida run by Jeff Botelho, a Florida-licensed attorney who has focused his practice on U.S. immigration law. Mr. Botelho has extensive experience litigating in U.S. immigration courts in South Florida, including bond representation and deportation defense, as well as with USCIS filings and interview preparation for family petitions, adjustment of status, VAWA cases, applications for naturalization, etc... In the beginning of his career, he litigated in Florida civil and criminal courts and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Mr. Botelho is a 1996 graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, who brings real-world experience to the table in his representation of clients. After graduation, he worked for an international manufacturing company for four years, 18 months of which was spent doing sales work in Mexico. He then taught four years of high school Spanish and History before entering St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami Gardens, Florida, where he graduated magna cum laude in 2007, after serving as Editor-in-Chief of the St. Thomas Law Review. Mr. Botelho was admitted to the Florida Bar later that same year.
Mr. Botelho is a member of the Florida Bar and the Federal Bar for the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District and the Middle Districts of Florida.
Mr. Botelho's legal experience includes his work as a certified legal intern at the Broward County Office of the Public Defender (where he won his first jury trial) and as an employment litigation associate at a highly-reputed Fort Lauderdale law firm. He has focused his practice on immigration matters since September of 2008, and founded his own firm in July of 2009. Since then, he has represented dozens of petitioners, applicants, and respondents in matters before the Department of Homeland Security, the Immigration Courts (EOIR), and the U.S. Department of State.
Mr. Botelho speaks fluent Spanish and is proficient in Brazilian Portuguese. All members of our staff are fluent in Spanish and proficient in English to provide the best possible service.
